INDUSTRIAL POLYMER

BEST-IN-CLASS FOR HEAT RESISTANCE AND FRICTION MANAGEMENT

With excellent resistance to high temperatures and chemicals, and best-in-class wear resistance, parts made with Celazole® PBI work harder and last longer

Customers count on Celazole® PBI to deliver best-in-class solutions for their manufacturing and industrial environments. Parts made with Celazole® PBI polymers are uniquely suited for metal replacement and exhibit excellent thermal stability and resistance to high temperatures and chemicals.

In soldering, hot glass handling, metal cutting, and even business machines, Celazole® U-60, TF-60C and Celazole® TF-60V offer superior strength and heat resistance; low fatigue and high elastic recovery. TF-60V provides both electrical and thermal insulation. Celazole® TU-60 is the solution when the situation involves intricate geometries or requires un-filled resin. Celazole® PBI products outperform polyimides, polyamideimides and polyketones in many applications.

300%

Design parts using less material; PBI’s compressive strength is 300% higher than polyimide

SERVICE LIFE

Superior wear resistance allows longer life cycles for parts made with Celazole® TL-60

OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY

Eliminate or reduce production downtime because of less deflection, distortion, cracking or wear

APPLICATIONS

Soldering

TF-60C – the material of choice for wave solder transport conveyor fingers with extremely low creep and nonstick properties at temperatures exceeding 500°F

Hot glass handling

An 815°F heat deflection temperature, 0.41 W/mC thermal conductivity, excellent wear resistance, and no-scratch contact makes Celazole® U-60 an excellent choice for hot glass handling

Planetary gears

Lower coefficient of friction, and better wear resistance makes Celazole® T-Series a better choice than PEEK, polyimide or polyamideimide.

Metal cutting

Celazole® U-60 has a 427°C Tg, flex strength 2.5x polyimide and coefficient of thermal expansion equal to aluminum

Friction management and metal spinning

Self-lubricating, low coefficient of friction and superior wear resistance means longer part life

Welding and plasma torches

Electrical insulation and heat resistant – arc resistance of 185 seconds
